This is the most fun I've had working on a project to date. Wuthering Hearts is a series by Laura Jayne Hodkin for Bento Box / A Studio Digital that at its bare bones is an "Emo Bridgerton". When Laura Jayne first told me that, I was all over it. The series currently stands at over 4 million views on TikTok with a considerable amount of comments asking about the music, which is very flattering. One comment in particular saying "someone remind me what this song is called?" very much solidified that I had provided exactly what this project needed-- music that teenage you would listen to while getting ready to sneak out of the house to go drink in the park with friends.
The demand to find out about the music for episode one became so high it caught the attention of the series producers. I subsequently published the full version of the track "Last Candle" (see full track video below episode links) with an animated visualizer by Laura Jayne. Episode two includes a Deftones inspired Victorian screamo track as if written by the main love interest as a way to express his deepest feelings to our main character (audio below).
